Richard Diebenkorn (1922 – 1993): American painter active on the West Coast. Diebenkorn was a principal early member of the West Coast Abstract Expressionist painters who turned to figurative work and then returned to abstraction with a body of work referred to as his Ocean Park series. An Austrian artist, architect and environmental activist who spent a significant part of his creative career in New Zealand. While he worked in several mediums, Hundertwasser produced many large complex multi-colored prints using various printmaking techniques and that are modeled after Japanese woodblock printing techniques.
